Yes - this is a bug (or feature..)
We have missed 7.4.0 now, but can you raise a bug so I can fix soon
after. For the server there is a bit of code which attempts to discard
any duplicate entries. This is not there in applet installer.

a proxy which caches?)

Definately some caching going in there as the two logs show exactly the
same strings, whereas they should change on a regular basis.
If you fetch the url in a browser on the server computer does it show
differences between two fetches? (some of the strings should change
regularly)

It means something is rewriting its prefs - suggests you enable prefs
logging from the settings, advanced, logging page on the web interface.
This will log which preferences are being updated and causing this.

OK - not the same problem I am seeing.
Could you try setting the "prefer wma" preference in settings,
advanced, BBCiPlayer. Otherwise, post what debug
plugins.bbciplayer.parser and plugins.bbciplayer.rtmp shows.
Which version of iPlayer are you using - latest versions should have a
settings page. Could you retry with the latest version so I can confirm
which line number you see the errors from.

I found it worked with SDL-1.2.14 with some patches applied which were
added to squeezeplay + a newer version of portaudio.

No it's never been included in the windows build. There is also another
problem with the windows build which will prevent applet installer
working. I will fix this and then may post a sha1.dll here for you to

that (this is the old perfmon functionality you are missing, but just

One difference I've noticed between onebrowser and trunk - when browsing

You should be able to drag and drop at all levels of favorites assuming
you don't decend into another opml file.
Looks like it is working on Classic skin but broken for default - could
you raise a bug for this as Michael needs to look at it.

Yes retobrowser will do this. This is because the width of the
controller screen is not wide enough for the full display. If you tip
the controller on its side it should extend to the full screen.
As long as the display returns to full width when you exit retrobrowser
all is ok.

How slow is "very slow" - have you turned on performance monitoring and
looked at the output of the performance data?

possibly work if you have the relavent perl modules
installed (IO::Socket::SSL). This is not supported, but it works for
me on linux - windows may be more of a problem... Note this is

I don't see why this should happen - we should only load strings that
are found on disk not that are referenced in the instal.xml files - has
something changed in this area. This will be a problem for others
upgrading?
