I wouldn't be too much trouble to come up with some pybindgen scripts
to auto-generate

Hi,
I just downloaded a build and checked it. You are right, it's a post
process for the Blender Internal.
I had the impression Freestyle was an external render engine.

So I think this is fine. Still I think the UI needs a lot of
work...several panels in the
Hi,
Cartoon render is very useful as a feature.
Whether that's as separate download, as engine (like yafaray) or integrated we
can always check on later... to me it seems we should first try to grasp and
evaluate what has been done and how this integrates with Blender's features,

Hi,
first of all congrats for the project and your work over the last couple
of years! :)
Although I understand the need and the users want this in trunk I am a
bit sceptical of the integration.
Basically I would prefer to see Freestyle being implemented as an
external engine rather than hook
Quickly looking over the python part of the patch, there's lots of
places where you should be using PyGetSetDef for attributes instead of
function getters/setters -- for eg StrokeShader.name instead of
StrokeShader.getName().
Don't know if makesrna can do C++ but that would make it a lot easier

Hi,
I'm not a developer, I'm a freestyle-branch blender user. And I just
wanted to give my opinion. We are working everyday with the freestyle
branch in our animation company (anigoanimation.com). It's incomplete,
yes, but the current state of the project is perfectly usable for
production.

how big of a changeset this merge would be.

The scope of this message is to report the up-to-date status of the Freestyle
branch and
discuss the possibility of the merge into the trunk.
