Hello, would anyone know the best procedure for going about automatically
transferring skim notes to the annote section of a reference?
I found some entries from the past about putting it into bibdesk but haven’t
found a solution. To my knowledge, it isn’t in the program already but I
thought a

Hi,
Forgive me if this has been covered, but a search of the archives
didn't seem to turn up anything.
Is is possible to create a smart group to search for Skim notes?
Specifically, I'd like to have a group that contains all references
that have Skim notes attached.
Thanks much!

Don't really know what happened here. I opened and re-saved the pdf
file I did my tests with and suddenly it worked ...

Hi everybody,
no idea what I'm doing wrong but I can't make skim notes appear in my
export templates. I used the following snippet but nothing at all was
displayed. I used the following snippet:
<$textSkimNotes?>
<$textSkimNotes/>
This was with 1.3.14 and with the latest nightly.

This is completely determined by the text export templates in Skim,
BibDesk just quotes the result from there and does not do any
interpret anything.

Is there any way to get Skim notes to sort by page 1) in a display or
export template & 2) in the table that appears from Publication >

Thanks again. For now, this is working pretty well for me:

Just realized
In templates they're appended separated by an empty line. We could
make them accessible also for the linked file objects, so you could
add a collection tag for the local files and combine them as you like.
Just thought of a way to make them accessible in AppleScript. It
works with references
Christiaan-
Thanks. Just for future reference, how would <$textSkimNotes/> in a
template handle multiple attached PDF files, each of which had Skim
notes? Currently each note gets its own bulleted header line with the
page number and note type, with the note contents on the next line. I

Just a quick query...are Skim notes accessible via Applescript as a
field or attribute of publication? They are accessible via templates
(which can be used within a script), but I don't see a reference in
the AS dictionary specifically to Skim notes. I believe all the other
items available
