This morning we had an Olive-sided Flycatcher singing its classic
Quick Three Beers from the top of a dead hemlock in our yard
bordering Brookbanks Ravine in Toronto. It sang on and off for about
1.5 hours after first hearing it about 6:45. There's been an

Today at lunchtime there was a Yellow-bellied Flycatcher in the woodlot
north-west of Tunney's Pasture (the woodlot of Prothonotary Warbler

Jean I visited Rock Point P.P. today. From 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM we
observed a total of 8 Ruddy Turnstones (5 adults 3 juveniles), 13
Sanderlings (non-breeding), 1 Solitary Sandpiper, 3 Semipalmated Sandpipers,
1 Pectoral Sandpiper, 3 Least Sandpipers, 3 Short-billed Dowitchers, 3
I stopped in at the Holland Landing lagoons this afternoon around 2:15 to see
if there were any new shorebirds present and managed to find a few new
arrivals. The first lagoon was characteristically high and empty but the
second cell held approximately 100 shorebirds, about half of them being
4 matches
