Brandon McWalter spotted an eagle moving west low over Dundas St. in east Whitby at 1106EST on Oct. 1. It was "all dark, no white underneath, with a brown nape". Undoubtedly a GOLDEN EAGLE He phoned me to see if it came over Cranberry Marsh RW--it would be somewhat to the north. Doug Lockrey

[Ontbirds]Black Vulture:Victoria Harbour

This morning in Victoria Harbour about 10.00 am I had a Black Vulture over head with some Turkey Vultures flying south. Victoria Harbour is near Midland. To reach it take 400 north to Hy 12 west and follow the signs. No doubt hawk watchers will be on the alert for this bird. Cheers Jim Co
