As Josh posted for myself and Erika earlier, at about 11:40am this morning we

This morning myself and Dan Antonio boated down the Holland River from Bradford

At about 10 a.m. about 100 m. east of the lighthouse at the end of the pier
in Oshawa Harbour a Red Phalarope made a brief visit.
It would fly a few metres drop to the water for a few minutes and then
repeat the routine. It was also seen by another birder but

Hi Ontbirders:
What a surprise and treat it was to see a flock of 10 Evening Grosbeaks at the
feeders on Hilda Road this afternoon. Last time I saw this species at the Hilda
feeders was about 3 or more years ago. Posting from my iPhone. Will post
photos later. Happy birding.

I had a very good morning's birding on the Islands today, the birds in the
subject line being the highlights.
Boreal Chickadee - 1 seen and heard with a group of Black-capped Chickadees
and Kinglets in the garden of the Rectory Cafe (Ward's Island). As seems to
be the case with most of the Boreal
Birders,
Not surprisingly, Cave Swallows were swirling around Erieau early this
morning. They did not show until about 08:30, but most were around the
sand/gravel piles. Jim Burk and I counted close to 30 (difficult to
determine!), but later about 35 were counted by Steve Charbonneau.

Ontbirds subscribers,
This morning at 8:50 I saw one of the Pacific Loons well out in the lake to the
east of my house in the bay off Thickson's Woods. It was loosely associating

the point of land to the east and wo
Brett Fried and Erika Hentsch are looking at a Golden-crowned Sparrow,

Hi birders!
On my way into the park this morning I ran into Paul Pratt and his birding

mixed in with 80 tree swallows.
