Subject: Possible Gyrfalcon - Presquile/Gosport
Observed from Stoney Point Rd, which is on the east side of Presqu'ile Bay, but
probably
village is 10 minutes north of Trenton @hwy 401. Take
Hwy 33 north from hwy 401. For best viewing, drive atop the bridge over the
Trent River, and go south into the Tourist Park. Follow the dam access road
North along the river. The hybrid was seen about 100 m south of dam.

Hi all
I searched this morning in Frankford for the hybrid reported by Doug McRae. I
did not relocate it, but it could still be hiding somewhere.

I was rewarded with incredible views of the Trent River, the shoreline trees
had a "hoar frost" effect.

I did not see this bird, just passing it on, and this sighting should be
considered unconfirmed until more reports come in.

Here is a link to a few photos from Monday morning of the 3 Nelson's Sparrow's
at the H.R. Frink Center, north of Belleville. Two photo'ed, plus one seen.

I have heard from a few birders that are making their way out there this
morning,
are on the opposite side of the road as the Learning center. The
birds were seen along the first 50 meters of the boardwalk.
Due to work obligations,I am out of internet contact until tomorrow, when I can
post some toe-tingling photos.

lookout 3 on the Owen Point Trail.

Quinte area residents should be on the lookout for a Peregrine Falcon that flew
in from Prince Edward County, across the Bay Bridge, and into downtown
Belleville at 5 pm today.
A Double-crested Cormorant also flew west over the Bay Bridge (towards
Presqu'ile?).
