Yes, on the third try I did see and video the Mountain Bluebird ( found by
Charmaine Anderson on the Pickering Airport Lands). Above is the video. Must
have patience.It seems that it comes on Concession 8, east of Sideline 30 just
east of the ONLY house

The Mountain Bluebird was still present this afternoon at 3pm -- it varies
between being on Concession eight just east of Sideline 32 and North of 8 on
Sideline 30. It was also seen in a small puddle in the field on the north west
side of 8 and 30. A note about the location -- the whole area w
right now a mountain bluebird is visible on concession 8 of Pickering just
east of sidelines 32. It's on the north side of the road in the far side of
a cornfield. I've been advised that you are not to trespass across the
cornfield as it is federal land.
This morning I found a single bluebird sitting on a wire in west durham - I
took some photos in poor light and dismissed it as an eastern bluebird, but
having posted it in a few spots it has been confirmed as a female mountain

Moosonee. The bird was located at a cemetery that is approximately 500 m
northeast of the sewage lagoons. This is about 3 km southwest of the train
station.

The Whitby Mountain Bluebird was still present Friday mid-afternoon, east
of Hall's Road near the junction of the paved bike path (more like 500+ m
south of Victoria rather than 1 km, I would guess?). Nice views could be

Yesterday (20 Feb.), Brendan Toews and I birded Prince Edward Point
National Wildlife Area in Prince Edward County. We observed an active
female Mountain Bluebird within minutes of arriving at the location. It
was flitting around from trees to hydro line wires, hawking insects
Took a drive up from Kingston today and was able to locate this wanderer. Bird
spent most of the day on the field side of the road in the same area as
previously reported, approx 100 meters from the Ducks Dive Charters. To see the
bird use the trail on the field side where the Wildlife Area sign

There haven't been any postings for a few weeks, but on Sunday, we were in the
area, and decided to see if the female Mountain Bluebird was still there. We'd
seen it a few weeks earlier and got some pictures, but it was very cloudy that
day, so this past Sunday seemed a better photo opportunit
This afternoon Sue and I went out with Carol and Doug to look for the
Mountain Bluebird that was reported from near Shetland a number of weeks
ago, taking a chance that it might still be there, as nothing had been
