Over the last 2 days we've had 11 W/Pelicans fly in and land in Big Creek
marsh just north of the Hawk tower for HBMO. Not rare but definitely
unusual.
Directions: Holiday Beach Conservation area is in between Amherstburg and

The two pelican are currently visible from Bacchus Island road, off Poonmalie
Road off Highway 15 south from Smith Falls. While the viewing point is in Leeds
and Grenville Co the pelicans are currently in Lanark Co. Scope required! The
hour long wait for them to show was relieved by a flock of 8

(about 2 km North of 7A) --flying low and dropping down below trees towards the
water on the West side of the Island. Birds should be viisible on Lake Scugog

I was driving towards Mitchell's Bay this afternoon and was less than a
block away when I spotted a small group of White Pelicans flying at tree level
right across the road ahead of me. I was too busy trying to pull over and

them. I followed them in my car to the shore of Lake Erie but they eventually
soared back to Hillman and are currently sitting pretty in the section of marsh
surrounded by the Couture Dyke. The entrance to the couture Dyk
Adam Pinch just found six white pelicans which are being seen from the
bridge on the east side of hillman marsh which is not the bridge next to
the entrance of the shorebird cell and is the next bridge as your heading
towards Lake Erie. Hillman Marsh is around 8km east of Point Pelee.

For the third summer in a row White Pelicans are present on Lake Nipissing.
On May 27 and 28 Travis Fryer observed and photographed three birds on the

Today I saw A pair of White Pelicans circling over Depot Harbour . They
circled twice very low then dropped down in the direction of Hay Bay.This
was at 8:00 A.M. I had to work so couldn't go and look for them .
Depot Harbour and Hay Bay are on Parry Island in Parry Sound.
