On the jaws user home page Programs you will find both Real Alternative which is as it says is a less resource hungry alternative to Real Player and QuickTime Alternative which is the same for QuickTime. For a long time I have used these instead of the main apps. Both are set up to work with Firef

Initially, just make sure none of the other keys on your keyboard are maybe stuck. The reason for suggesting this one is that on some machines hitting Ctrl + Alt + F4 will make them shutdown. I'd say try turning on Jaws keyboard help and see what it reckons you're typing when hitting Alt + F
