Hi Alex,
I didn't see anyone treating you like an idiot,
a statement was made, and a question asked.
The voice inflection of a screen-reader isn't a true representation of the
person who wrote the message.
Please keep that in mind.
Thanks,

It does, it says: malware bytes has blocked the following port: ip address:
process skype.exe or utorrent.exe
Which suggests to me it is blocking ports, or why would it come up with the
message.
Btw I do resent being treated like an idiot. I may be a new old member, but
that doesn't make me stupid!
Lois, if it doesn't work, get back to me, as I'm a member with a different

I do not believe that Malwarebytes blocks ports. Port blocking is normally
the function of a firewall. What message are you getting that makes you
believe that MWB is doing the blocking?

I hope this is not the "siilent updating" discussed in reference to
newer firefox versions. i do not want to find myself updated to
firefox 7 or something newer that might not work with my technology.
In light of this, does anyone know if the latest versions of firefox
still work with win 2k?
It still shows under tools here after the upgrade to FF 7 and doesn't show
yet as incompatible with this version.

Hi
There have been short times of a minute or two when I pulled the
battery out of my laptop and ran it off from wall power. The main trouble
that I see is that like a desktop computer, if the wall power happens to get
cut off, you would lose any unsaved data.
God bless,

That's actually a standard windows keystroke, so, yes, it will work even
without a screen reader...

I use it,
Quite often, it's easier then the insert+f11,
