Thanks for your reply. Part of the problem though of running older browsers is vulnerability to security issues. My last computer found its death by nasties that got in, not necessarily form a browser security hole. At any rate I'm not too in favor of leaving any holes if possible, even at the cost

Ok, just played around an bit and I need to correct what I said. If I hit F4 to scan & read it does not tell me the orientation of the paper. It is when I use the Ctrl Shift F3 which is preview it tells me orientation. Use that command prior to scanning if you are not sure of the orientation. Actua
