Thank you all for the advice. I would like to thank the gentleman who
recommended the "Rat Zapper". I googled the name and found that lots of other
people like them too. I almost bought one at Home Depot for $49.95. This was
Victor's version though. I don't know who sells the locally.
I suppose an alternative would be to download a show and watch it on our
computer. I'm one of those who doesn't have that newfangled TV either. Even
David Letterman joked that he didn't also. I can't see that they will suddenly
drop in price once the regular signal goes blank.

Don't want to sound negative, but the place where I used to work had wall-hung
commodes. They sure look nice and are a lot easier to clean around, but one
day a man, I would say, who weighed around 275 + pounds sat on it, and it broke
like a dish into a million pieces. LOL

I stumbled upon a good paint remover. I just used oven cleaner. The thing
that I like about it is that it doesn't have wood alcohol, which is very
dangerous. However, it does have lye which requires the usual precautions.
All-in-all it worked better than the paint remover I used in the past,
In addition to what the others said, you can buy a jig that fits on your drill.
It makes it look like a router, except that it slides up and down, whereas a
router has very little depth adjustment. I bought one years ago, and I can't
even remember where I got it, but it wasn't very expensive.
I do too. The hardest part for me is determining the size pipe I need. After
doing a project, I can tell just by looking at a pipe, whether it's a 1/2" 3/4"
1", etc in diameter. But if I don't do another project for a few weeks/months,
I have to develop that skill all over again.

Believe it or not, in San Antonio we pay $.06 per kw. However there's two
other companies, also nonprofits in Texas that are even cheaper than we are.
Sort of a poor man's alternative to replacing a window is to weatherize the
original. I saw it done on "this old House". I tried it on my bathroom
window, 25 years ago, and it is holding up fine.
I put weather stripping around it. In the show they removed it from the sash

Well what you said about the dog having to learn that a soundless car poses a
threat, proves my theory. I don't think that dogs can see as well as humans.
Just a theory. Oftentimes I have noticed that a dog that normally won't bark
at you, will if you are wearing something different. My gues
