this was the decision of the DoC due to lack of pitches, so am curious as to why a venue was accepted that didn't have enough space to accomodate all the teams and if this is likely to happen at the other tours where we should expect around 50 teams or even 60 if womens tour is on.

Speaking for Flyght Club, we use Winter League to coax new students to the outdoors. It's rarely the tour team that plays. Often our winter league teams were either split evenly or based on our student teams and often featured random pickups like Dave Sealy or Alli Smith who are clearly not Flygh

Because not all teams play events outdoors during the winter and the winter events are not UKU events the winter is thought of (at least by me) as pre season and could therefore be likened to 'friendlies' in football or other sports which have no effect on which league a team plays in next seaso
