Have you looked here:?
https://www.gnu.org/software/gnubg/manual/gnubg.html#gnubg-starting_options
I think XG has gained in popularity over gnubg mainly because it is faster, and
only marginally because of the slight playing strength advantage.
And Xavier has done a great publicity job.
Xavier had the advantage of being able to design for speed and multi-threading
from the outset. Gnubg’s
at all scores, so an option to select just the comparison of
the current match score vs money might be good.
I hope you find some of these suggestions useful.

Hi Richard,
I don’t know much about the mEMG Luck Rate, I’m afraid – I’ve never given it
any attention because I think MWC is a better measure of luck
list. I
haven’t got the source code loaded on any PC right now, so I can’t try and
decipher it myself.

Hi Richard.
The luck adjusted result looks OK to me.
You had -12.342% luck and tophat had +35.705% luck.
The actual result was you -50%, tophat +50%.
The Luck-Adjusted result formula = Actual Result - Own Luck + Opponent's Luck.
Your luck-adjusted result = -50 - -12.342 + 35.705 = -1.953%
and the top player is O).
If so, this would be the equivalent position with the pieces set up correctly
Position ID: mDfwAUS4uwMBDA
Match ID: cIkFCAAA The pip counts are 123 to 158, which looks a lot more
normal to me.
I hope this helps.

it to be the same for both sides. Unles there's
something odd in the programming, such as the bot using it's own settings for
itself, which respects Jacoby, but the quick finish for the human player
doesn't use the Jacoby setting.

Great idea, Philippe. This was irritating me just the other day.

the board position or who is on roll. I'm certain that the move generator only
looks at the board position, not at the upcoming dice sequence.

Hi Wayne,
The double point of the market window is the lowest winning chance at which you
could consider a double. If this were the last roll of the game, and you would
never get a chance to double later, it would be correct to double.
In most circumstances, you should wait until you are

Do you (gnubg users in general, not specifically Michael or Ian), really
sometimes use a game as a collection of independent, setup positions saved
together ?
Since nobody else has chipped in yet, I'll comment, even though I am,
