As the 94 trustee I am going to give a quick statement.
I did not hear the net so I cannot comment on what was or was not said. The
rules on the 94 (and most other repeaters) are
1. That it is not a closed repeater, every ham is welcome. If you want to
have a private chat were outside

Everybody, I want to apologize for posting the first email about Monday's Net
Control. I had no idea it would explode into the sh*tstorm it has become, and
unrelated issues as well.
I just had to speak my mind on how Net was disallowing check-ins without
traffic to
John,
Unfortunately, we have not started back the normal Wednesday lunch meetings
over there at Papas, since they shut down the internal seating last year.
Things are opened back up now just fine, and there’s been some chatter about
getting them restarted, but so far, it just hasn’t

Since I started back to work in 2017, I have not been able to make one.
Andy, W5ACM, was the driving force behind the lunch. I believe it is
still going on. Might ask Charlie, K5ENG, he used to be there every week.

The webpage makes it sound like AMSAT and QRP people meet at Pappas BBQ on
Wednesdays. Is that still happening?
If so, I might drop in next week.

JP,
The polite thing to do is to listen and look for a good point to break in.
Me saying good morning to you and having another Ham break in with a
comment is rude, even if it is not meant to be. I listen to 94 more than I
talk on it these days, mainly do to the overuse of the word Comment and
"I did see a few people talk about cliques - I do not feel there are cliques,
it is just people more engrossed with the club and are working towards a goal.
If you feel there is a clique, go talk to them, maybe that clique has a place
for you and you will see that it is not a clique but a task

Thats an interesting thought about what would our SK club for fathers think of
us now...Some SKs were some expectional members.. exceptional people that
are no longer with us.
a list of the BVARC SKs are available on the bvarc.org website... So many of
them helped me!!and so many were
To all,
I hate to get tangled in this web, but I have to say this...
I have been on an off with BVARC for over 10 years at different
levels. I want to say I have NEVER felt like I was put off or out. As a
matter of fact, I feel the opposite. As I back out of doing one thing/
interest, BVARC
I think it would be prudent to place an abridged version of Jeff and JP's
notes in the next Beacon. Both well stated, Gents!!!

Jeff, you've hit on a very important point. I've always been a "group" kinda
guy, starting with Cub and Boy Scouts, school science club as well as various
bands I've played in. And then there've been volunteer religious groups. It's
quite natural to bond with one person and not another, but I
Surprised and sorry to hear that some feel excluded... My experience has been
the exact opposite. As a newbie ham who had never been on HF, I attended what
must have been my 3rd or 4th BVARC meeting about 3 years ago, and they happened
to be doing elections. Nobody ran for Corresponding
I enjoyed museum ships, Several times I bought lunch for the whole thing..I
also donated money to the museum itself ...
I enjoyed time in the submarine radio room, (my wifes (KF5GWZ) father wasa
radioman in a similar sub during wwii...
I enjoy showing non hamswhat goes on in the tiny sub
I’ll chime in. I moved here in 2004. I contacted the club but the president at
the time was more involved with the MS 150 support than new member, he actually
told me “he didn’t have the time.”
Fast forward a few years ago, I went to a meeting, mainly I was interested in
Museum Ship Weekend
Thanks for posting this Ralph... I like the CLUB to see when this happens...
When the old guys clique, they do not even notice they are doing it.If they
dont get complaints they may never notice
as a life member,I hate it when the club is percieved that way.. And I
probably do it as well
I was going to say the same.

Same, I asked one question early on and was rebuffed, so never asked another

For clarification. Sometimes, when you hear a conversation among known friends
that you want to be a part of, you might quickly say "comment" so as to not
double with someone. When you're given the go to talk by somebody already in
