There was a discussion about insurance on the Trad_Dance_callers group a while
back. I went back through those archives and found the info I was looking for.
The National Folk Organization has a $50 per year membership fee for
individuals or groups. It includes an option to apply for free insur

dancing that a dancer sued anyone for anything. But there was an *insurance
company* that sued our dance group to recover costs associated with a dancer
who fell and broke a wrist. So even though we are a remarkably un-litigio
A woman fell at a dance where I was calling and her behavior indicated she was
considering legal action, of which I would have been the likely target. (She
was not hurt.) She didn't follow through, but it sure made me glad I had
insurance.
