I was driving over the Etna Mills bridge crossing Fall Creek, there was an

Mid-day Sunday we watched for about an hour as multiple kettles of vultures
appeared over Mt. Pleasant and drifted west over the compost piles on Stevenson

The Cayuga Bird Club will hold its Annual meeting with election of officers
next Monday, October 14, at 7:30 at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, with
cookies and conversation at 7:15.
Our speaker, Bob Beck, author of The Journey at Malloryville Bog: Commitment,
Teamwork and Tenacity in Defense
Club will be inviting interested
members to join for dinner at Tamarind Restaurant at 5:30 pm prior to the

Finally made it up to Morgan Road today on the way home from Oswego. About 18
folks were gathered to view the possible evening's flight. After several
distant possibilities and half the group leaving for Carncross Road, we headed
to our car where the 90-degree angle of the buildings funneled in

Taking child to homeschool class at the MAC today, was a good excuse to do some
birding. Travelled up the east side of Cayuga Lake in the morning, then down
the west side about 3 pm.
Highlights were:
Northern Shrike on 34B just south of Jerry Smith Rd.
4 adult Bald Eagles on north side of Armita
