hy people, does cipc get vlan through cdp?? i have read in cisco.com that it does indeed happen... but i have tried many times and could not make it happen. when i have to put it in the voice vlan i have to give access vlan command to the switchport. one reason the voice vlan command doesnt work

Hello, Question 5.8 starts with Ensure that calls from HQ phones (registered to CUCM) to Long Distance PSTN numbers... but in solution section it says only HQ Phone 2 should be able to dial Long Distance numbers... Why HQ Phone 1 can't call, am I missing something? Thanks, Deniz

Joel, Can you share the doc that you read? CIPC binds to and uses the network adapter that you specify under the Network Preferences configuration, it does not use CDP to determine which interface/IP Address to use. Administration Guide for CIPC version 2.1

I have created a script for CUE AA.  I upload it and then create the AA application using the script I just uploaded.  The next step is to fill in the variable Parameters, but no Paramters show even though I have serveral designated in the script.   Any ideas on why no parameters show?  Also,

Since ip cant be learnt through cdp(the above guide itself says so) the main reason of the cdp will be to give vlan id from switch... it only makes sense if voice vlan can be assigned by swicth port voice vlan and hence qos and security can be given specific to the cipc and not to the pc in
