Hi all,
I have configured MVA hairpin on BR1 router which is an MGCP gateway.
If the call is made to MVA route-pattern number [1999] from BR1 phone then i
hear "Welcome to Cisco Unfiied Communications"
If i call to MVA route-pattern number [1999] from HQ phone or PSTN phone
then i do not hear "Wel

I bought the Multi-phone IPBlue which allows me to simulate almost any hard
phone with any MAC for UCM or UCME.
Otherwise, the 45s would work fine until you get to labs that require a lot of
line appearances (when you need to do multiple lines, BLFs, Single-button-login
for UCCX, etc)

If BR1 works as teho GW for HQ calls the inbound voip dial-peer should select
g729.
For br1 phone local calls - g711

I've see some people configure voice class codec for the lab like below:
voice class codec 1
codec preference 1 g711ulaw
codec preference 2 g729r8
I was wondering that's the point of having such a class.
I meant, for the lab, it explictly requires either g711 or g729. So why do

I think if you set the bandwidth to greater than 768 you will not have this

The 7945 are the same as the 7965 used in the lab, except for the 2 buttons
verse 6. You will have some issues with that in testing but other than that
you should be able to adapt to them verses buying 796x phones. You might
want to get on 7960 for your PSTN as that would work best but again you
Hi all,
If in the exam in Qos WAN exercise were asked to configure MLF or FR12 between
HQ and SB, supposing there is only one physical interface in HQ, the traffic
shaping applied will affect the BR2 subintertace appliying a default mincir
28000 which is a problem for more than one call

do you have your access list set on Presence or your digest credentials on

Hi,
I was wondering if one can use 7911/7945 or 7921's (have them readily
available) as remote phones for the LAB's, Instead of the 7961/2 (need to
purchase) ?
I am currently on LAB 2 and 3 and am using softphones.

If you click on the services on the left side of your CUPC Health status it
will give additional information pertaining to that section, IE: Presence.
Have you checked your ACL on the CUPS? Maybe you forgot to add the allow

Hi Donny,
I think that you can have a tone per line.
If you have a phone with 2 lines, then you can have a 2 different tone. One
for each.
But I don't believe it is possible to do what you are looking for.
Tone is not an option when adding entries into your personnal directory...
