My experience in synagogues is that there is no real political talk/endorsement in the synagogue. Most of that is done in newspapers, where you certainly can't say it's unconstitutional.
A newspaper might endorse a specific candidate.

These people publicly speak out against church policy
I do not recall any president who did not appear in church during campaigns or
while in office.
That said, I do not remember ever in U.S. history where a candidate for
re-election asked the church leadership for assistance in his campaign. I do
not recall ever hearing of seditious actions of chur

And that's perfectly appropriate. The point is not that they go to a
church. Anybody can. The legal wrangle is when the church supports or
gives preferential treatment to a particular candidate.
