Actually, I am right in Portland proper. About a 10 minute bike ride
to downtown, 20 minute drive to Washington. In the flat part of NE
called Sabin if you want to be precise. The elevation makes a big
difference. We got about a half inch of slushy snow last night. My
coworker that lives in the
Spring my ass. It's snowing, damn it. It's cold and wet and 20 degrees
below normal. You midwest people: please, take your damn weather back
up where it belongs and give me my 60 degrees with sun breaks back.
Sincerely,
Oregon

I'm not blaming this on climate change. That's a gradual and
persistent change. This is, as you say, just life. Weather: it
happens. Last year we didn't break 60 degrees until the end of March.
This year we did in the second week...and then it got damn cold again
and started doing this random
its about 25 to 30 degrees warmer than average in this region. I'd
love to have some of that cold and snow.

it's still raining up there? Quit a couple of days ago here. This assumes,
of course, that you're experiencing the same weather pattern we were. I
don't know that but Oregon and northern California tend to
correlate. And it sounds like it. We got snow on Mount Hamilton, even
though we didn't see

Yup another record day here as well :-)
About 2x average temps all week!
It's been in the 80s here in Chicago for the past week or so. We skipped
spring and went straight into summer.

Same weather pattern, but Oregon gets it a few days ahead of us. The
arctic blast usually moves from the Northwest to the Southeast sharply
SSE until it gets over the Rockies, then is moves due east, with a
curl up the east coast depending on where the jet stream is.

so if they get earlier why is it still raining up there? And don't say
it's Oregon or I'll drive down there and smack you ;) I don't think
Judah's in same the rain-forest-ish climate zone that Portland is, so just
cause moss will grow on you if you stand still ten minutes in Portland...
