Sam, a great many comedians work blue. Many of us like it. I happen to

It's not on the public airwaves, it's cable and therefore opt in, don't want
to see it, don't watch it.

You're not Catholic because their Savior isn't man enough? You oughta read
how they believe he died if you think that's the case.

I think the audience is mostly teenagers. It's the People Mag of tv.
You offend those kids, or upset their parents you have problems you
don't need. So cut the line and who cares? It isn't even funny so why
should they sweat it.

To resurrect the old joke:

and he was hung like this!

Jesus is f***ing metal!

How can an audience that eats up The Girls Next Door and slavishly follows
all the sordid details of Paris Hilton's life be offended by a stupid Jesus
joke? I mean, they could be offended by Kathy Griffin in general, but
telling Jesus to suck it hardly seems like a terrible crime against
religion.
I don't know what The Girls Next Door is and am wondering why you do :)
As for being offended, as a company executive would you take the chance?
How many are offended the comment is removed vs

of course not, I'd censor her and go back to watching the Girls Next Door...

I don't think this is a particularly Catholic opinion, anymore than
praising God for dead soldiers represents the mainstream of
fundamentalist thought. I mean, I know I am a recovering Catholic, but
geez.
Apart from that quibble though, I had to laugh at your comment. Nice one.

Religious Fundamentalism is something I am afraid of no matter where it
my point though -- the group may claim to be Catholic, but as much as
I disagree with the Church on many issues, I do not believe that it
has ever called hate speech on someone that does not believe.
that's all.

It's damage control. She offended a huge portion of viewers and they
don't want a boycott. If she actually had talent she'd be able to make
a joke without insulting the bulk of the people paying her wage. Still
hard to believe she won an award for anything.
So who called it hate speech?
