It's actually quite interesting, and something that gets little
mentioned in this day, that the logic used in early American
jurisprudence would lead to almost an exact inverse of the law we have

It seems the judge upheld the law as constitutional, makes sense, but
blocked enforcing it for this election because not all voters have
photo id's yet.
