Yes, the fact it is from your external speakers is a lot less worrying.
In concur that with the others that it sounds like USB/Firewall connections
being made or dropped, or some sort of similar connection.

connected to the sound card?
If it is from the internal speaker it could be some sort of Motherboard
warning, similar to POST internal system beeps that indicate a problem, or the
system passing POST to boot etc.

If I were a betting man, I would bet its your motherboard's temperature
warning. Check your bios settings. Then check to see how hot its getting in
your case. Maybe you need a bigger cooler on your CPU or better ventilation.

Well my case has two external fans and a cpu fan as well as a digital
tempertarure reading on the front. Hopefully all these systems are
functioning correctly. Right now the temperture in 71.8, but also I am
not being beeped at. I will keep an eye out and see if there is a
corealation
I wonder if this might be the case. I have as USB wireless mouse
installed. So then the question is why? I wonder if it may have
something with me chanding which USB port the wireless mouse was plugged
into. Then I wonder if there is anything I can do about it.

In the Program Events list select the Device Connect and the Device
Disconnect sounds - you can play them with the play button at the bottom.
Are they your sounds?
I did this once, I actually went through and played each and every sound. The
Device Connect/Disconnect where definatly canidates,
it wakes up
when you move it.
