You mean this is from the internal speaker of the machine, or the speakers connected to the sound card? If it is from the internal speaker it could be some sort of Motherboard warning, similar to POST internal system beeps that indicate a problem, or the system passing POST to boot etc. You

Well my case has two external fans and a cpu fan as well as a digital tempertarure reading on the front. Hopefully all these systems are functioning correctly. Right now the temperture in 71.8, but also I am not being beeped at. I will keep an eye out and see if there is a corealation

In the Program Events list select the Device Connect and the Device Disconnect sounds - you can play them with the play button at the bottom. Are they your sounds? I did this once, I actually went through and played each and every sound. The Device Connect/Disconnect where definatly canidates,
