The liver is apparently a big concern with NSAIDs too, at least in dogs. In humans I gather they are more dangerous to the kidneys. But the choices as presented are: surgery, $2000-$8000, might kill her, vet may or may not agree to even attempt it because of her age; NSAIDs, $200+ a month, likely
