Well there's these (below), but the oddest thing has happened... I
found that some files (but not all, and certainly not a majority) in
the "Web Server Extensions\12" folder structure used by Sharepoint had
been marked compressed to save spa

if you were using the central admin account, and it was set up the way
I was reading about it, that the central admin account shouldn't

Did you set up more than one user for yourself - such that you have an

When I was trying to set up search I tried to find references to
*what* needed to be full text indexed and couldn't find anything, then
I looked at the DBs that had been created programmatically and saw
that they had the Full Text index checkbox (O

been able to get search working - something about an incorrect path.

I had the same issue with the initial installation/creation of the
Shared Service Provider (SSP) called for in the initial install
procedures. I couldn't get MySites of Search to run.

Sharepoint isn't just an app, it is a framework. It isn't just ODBC to get
some data, it is the complete integration of the system.

installation was a bitch, but once the server is up and running it's a
pretty nice lil' product.
I especially like the drag and drop document management interface with
the database.
