Here is an example of what Line could be equal to within the cfloop
Line = TSCE|D:\files\tsce
Using ListGetAt(Line,1,'|' plucks out TSCE.
I'm trying to match that against the variable TEST. If a match is found do this.
Got it!
Thanks

I can not see the problem, but I might try a TRIM() around
ListGetAt(Line,1,'|') in the CFIF.

Ok, I'm doing a bit of recursion, and my variables seem to be overwriting
themselves, which makes no sense to me. Here is my code:
cffunction name=getDTreeWidth returntype=numeric
cfargument name=node type=string required=yes
cfargument name=level type=numeric required=yes
cfset root_node =
First off, we need to realize that it doesn't really matter if Opera is
following specs or not because we have to accomodate what's out there. Given
that, I think it boils down to how you want to define a null value. To my
knowledge, HTML doesn't have a standard for handling null values in forms
Try using the var keyword in your first four cfset statements.
cfset var root_node = Arguments.node
cfset var levels = ...

Subject: Recursion and Scope problem?
Ok,
Webtrends still uses Perl. Just picked up version 8.1 (upgrading from
5.5) and the whole thing has changed, web based interfaces no more
console, live stats update built in instead of being an add-on. Very
nice for the money (kinda spendy so it gets left out of this discussion...)
:-)

Bingo, worked like a champ. But I'm still wondering WHY the scopes be overwritten? I
just don't get it
