I am attempting to use CF 8 to connect to a secure FTP server. Based up
documents/web postings I believe that the following code should work but I am

Ok I've discovered what I think is the root of the problem. I have got the cfc
to do a dump of the arguments scope into a cfsavecontent tag and pass that
back. When the component is called locally it passes back my orginal xml
request. However when I call it as a webservice I get back what look

Final answer, if anyone ever has this issue: There is a Transparency
attribute that defaults to Opaque on the image object. In Flashpaper
and PDF, the image shows up with that set...in RTF, it puts a box over
top of it.

I wouldn't do it. The reasons are obvious. I would find out specifically
what objects / methods they are wanting to allow access to, and I would
build an API to give access only to those objects / methods. Open it up as a
web service API and do it right.

While developing test CONSTANTLY because even small changes can have
dramatic effects. I also strongly urge to have the output checked out by
multiple people: in docs like this there are so many little things to go
wrong. The more eyeballs the better.

for the full SQL Server you can definitely (legally) install the client
tools to as many clients as you like... that's been the case since at least
SQL Server 6.5.
