I'm not sure if the tach wire itself was part of the harness or not. Yes,
the tach hooks to your Tach terminal on the HEI. Here's a photo of the
connections on a 69 tach cluster. Should be the same idea, but probably

As a sidebar to this, not all GM divisions
used "Positraction". For example, Pontiac's term for

I think what you are talking about is a "door lock pawl". It is the lever
that attaches to the end of the lock cylinder. It turns and trips the latch
when you turn the key.
