will need to shorten the drive shaft if you go to a th700. Not sure of the
length, people will tell you to "measure your car".

trans tunnel on the pass side at the firewall will need to be dented in a

inter-changeable between chevelles and el caminos? the reason i ask is i just
scored a full loaded core support w/all headlights, brackets, wiring, grill,and
filler panel for 20bucks and i got

original paint and decals still intactlooks pretty good and it's only $3750.

According to my SS restoration guide - All 64 - 72 Chevelle's were painted
in lacquer from the factory. The nice thing about lacquer is it's quick
drying - so paint flaws

- 1967 Chevelle SS (numbers matching) frame off
-1967 Chevelle Malibu with 283 (was gonna but in a 383 and 350 turbo trans)
- 1957 Chevy Belair (wife likes this one)
- 1986 CJ-7 with 4 cylinder anemic engine (grea
Factory GM paint for that era was acrylic lacquer. Acrylic Enamel
didn't start until sometime in the mid 70's I think.

If it were me, looking for the closest factory look, I would spray it in
Lacquer and rub it out. No clear. A paint store would be able to tell you
the type of paint that was
Lojac,Don't bet on not massaging the drive
shaft. The 350 and 400 came with a short and long tail shaft. The 350
WILL handle a big block but it has to be in good condition. But I
wouldn't recommend it unless it was rebuilt for your application.And the torque
converter must match the torque
plug wires:
use a test
light hooked to a good ground, run probe end around the boots and up the entire
wire, if wire is "bad"
[leaking] you will see a
spark snap at the test light probe every time that cylinder
fires..

Start by listing all the components of the engine. Have
you already decided on a cam, intake, CR, etc. yet? If
you pick a fairly common combo your engine shop or other
I had a set of Mallory wires on my car and called the factory
to inquire on how to check if they are still good. I was told to check the
resistance with an ohm meter. Those wires were supposed to be 100 ohms per
foot. You have to check with your factory for the spec.
