Ebay!!! or check Team Chevelle parts for sale

The Cheetah was built by Bill Thomas to compete with the AC Cobras. It was light and very fast but didn't handle that well. Bill Thomas had a race car fabrication shop in CA. and did a lot of secret projects for Chevy. He was building a wild 63 Nova for Chevy with a fiberglass fastback body but Ch

I believe one of the guys in the Maryland Chevelle Club can do this conversion. I'll dig up the info on this. Also, keep an eye on Ebay and Team Chevelle parts for sale, thats where I found my floor shift tilt column already reconditioned.
Tom
Rebuilding a rear is really not all that difficult. I have done 2 so far. It is more time consuming than anything making sure the backlash and preload is set correctly. When you get new gears, at least from Richmond, they give you a little set of instructions on where the teeth should mesh and t

If it were me , I would get a
steering column with out the shifter . Install the floor shift. Do not
rebuild the column shift( unless you want to use it later.)Money spent on your
rebuild would be about the same or close enough to the price of a good used
one.

Dakota Digital came out the with the replacement for 66/67 a couple of
years after I bought my "universal" setup from them. I have seen this
in one 67 Chevelle and they really look nice. I don't have any pics or
personal knowledge of the installation but if they're anything like the
universal set
Krister,
In the Chevelle issue published by Super Chevy, this
is in the winter 2003 issue, there is an article on
page 63 called, For Your Information, it highlights a
reproduction gauge package from OPG for the 66-67
Chevelle.
These require modification of the speedo cluster.

My Temp gauge is not working. I have verified it has fire but is not registering. I also have already replaced the sensor. Any ideas on where I can get an Original or original repro that will match the others. All the ones I am seeing have a Bowtie on them and I am only interested in keeping the ca

Steve,
In addition to the wise advice below, the best part is if the gears whine
(or any other problem for that matter) once the rear is in the car, you can
always take it back to the place that did the gear install and let them fix
it. :)
Or better yet, install the rear end just the way you buy
Try Chicago Muscle Car Parts. 847-526-2200. I bought gauges and lens. Maybe they also have just the lens for sale
