So, the PCV valve goes to the large, unported vacuum at the base of the
carb, right?
Transmission modulator valve goes to ported vacuum, yes? Does anybody know
the diameter of the vac line I will need for that?
This is for a 69 El Camino w/ Edelbrock carb & TH350.

I need some advice, I am ready to paint the car, and I have been visiting paint shops in my area. Some I feel confident with, do I need to ask certain questions, I tell them all I am restoring a concourse car, and I am hoping they understand that and expect a #1 paint job.

See if it has the dual piston master cylinder. I think it came out the 2nd half of 66 model year as a safety backup.
I like the 400 ci smallblock personally.

I think that I
remember someone on the net had received an email about some money that he could
get for free from someone in \South America. I just received a similar email. I
replied to that person stating not to email me again that I knew that this was
not real.

I'd
like a "list" opinion on this Elcamino I found locally. It seems like a good

Pete,
I have pretty much the
full GW setup. Tall spindles and their A arm in the front with extra stiff
springs. The rear has their tubular lower control arm and 35 year old
upper arm and bushings, and springs, with no rear bar. I have Koni
adjustable shocks (if you want a

I bought my first Chevelle in 77.
Early on I realized the 64 needed help in corners.
The Addco rear sway bar was on my car for over twenty years when I sold it.

Hey Brad, I'm right there with you. Starting with my second car, a '78 Z28,
I quickly found out how much fun it is to go around corners. Every car I've
had since then ('85) has been set up with corners in mind - shocks, springs,
anti-roll bars, lowered, wide low profile tires. I'm sure there wer
I've built my cars to handle since before the term was coined. One of
the first things I did was convert my Chevelle over to disks with the

On Saturday I picked up a Carter-built Q-Jet coded 6910S with what I
assume is a date code of 888. Can anyone give me the original

Clint,
If you happen to go by there today/tonight, go ahead and I'll get 'em
from you at Goodguys. I would like to take a look at the pan to see
just where it was screwed up and the dipstick & tube may still come in
handy for someone. The Hurst Line Lock I can always sell on eBay since

That's the T-5 5sp. If you have a mild sbc, and will not bang on it, the
transmission will probably last just fine for you (assuming it's not already
hurt).
The T-5s are only rated for 6cyl applications now, and GM didn't put them behind
350s, only the 305 (read as 'weak').
