does any one have a good set of hood hinges for a 71 elcamino they would like to part with??
thank you

I've
had the same thing happen with my Holley 750. I think the problem is
either 1) fuel splashing out the secondary's vent hole and into the
venturi, effectively flooding the engine with unmetered fuel
or 2) under the hard braking, the primary jets are being uncovered
by the fuel moving
The problem w/ the door panels is that I dont have the originals to look
at. The ones Ron sent back to me (from a different car) had a metal plate
attached to the top of the cardboard panel. Those plates are too long for my
panels, and right now I have nothing to attach the top of the fabric, the

What is the best way to convert the throttle linkage on a '65 to a cable
system? Will a cable and pedal from a newer Chevelle fit? Lokar pedal? I
will be installing an Accel Super Ram and it will require a throttle cable.
Thanks,

Hi fellas..
I just filled my radiator with water, and my brand
new water pump is leaking out of the weep hole..
this is the second chrome water pump that has done
this to me..
so here's my question..
will the leaking stop once I run the
car?
I know its a long shot, but, who
knows..
are
Chrome anything on an engine is junk, but that is just my opinion. I always
go by the old chrome leaks theory, I would put an aluminum pump on it and
save yourself the trouble.
Tom
man, the worst part is, I can find the receipt for
the darn thing..

As far as oil filters go for small block and big block Chevy's, the Fram PH 30 (1/2 QT)is the shortest, The PH 13 (1 Qt) is the standard long one and the PH373 is longest.(2 Qt version).
hope this clears it up

As far as Chrome water pumps go they are not junk unless you get a rebuilt one that is done with an inferior seal. Many chrome parts on a motor can and will leak after a period of time or even upon installation if not install properly for example over torquing the bolts and crushing the gasket.
I used a Lokar setup on my '67 with the Super Ram. The pedal itself is
pretty generic and I used the 'spoon' type (#SPO-6070)

The cable is a 36 unit for a tuned port (#TC-1000TP36) that was cut to
length. I might have gotten
I have had a Summit chrome pump (actually made by
'TuffStuff') on my big block since 1987 and never had any trouble with it.
Only difference I've found with this pump is the lower water connection is 1.75"
instead of the normal 2" which is OK since the lower radiator inlet is 1.75" as
well.
The standard filter for 68 to 72 (at least) is an AC Delco PF25, the longer
filter (1/2 qt more capacity) is an PF35 and the long filter with the
anti-drainback valve is PF1218. If you're using Fram, STP, Purolator, etc,
you'll have to x-ref those numbers.
The AC part nos. may have been

PF 35.

The first one was a chrome plated steel pump from Summit racing.
The latest is a chrome plated aluminum pump made by ???.
I found the receipt, and sent the people an e-mail, we'll see what
happens..
I think I'll just get a polished aluminum one..

I called ACDelco last week and was told they've replaced PF25 with PF454.
That would almost sound cool except it's the short filter!
I used the PF35 on my sixes for years,
