3902406 was a 1967 block number. used in the
325,350,375hp engines, 24 bolt. A PF35 should work
just fine. I use the PF25 on my car, the 35 is just
the longer version of the 25, has a slightly larger
capacity.

Robert, I am running a very similar set up to Herb on a 64 Tempest w/421

are notorious for running hot. Even with long tuning sessions at idle I

Did those engines come with spin on filters?
1967 blocks still used the canister filter. If memory serves,I've seen some
adapters that require Ford filters and some GM...could be the difference
you're experiencing.

The Wolfe lowers are aSOLID unit. No bushings at alland must be used with the spherical upper bushing. I would highly recommend reinforced torque boxes/attach points with roll cage material to prevent tearing the floor out. Like I said before... these are a hardcore race setup. These arms are on
I had Chris (I think it was Chris) at www.powersteering.com rebuild
my original box with the fast ratio.
Not the cheapest route, but a direct bolt in, and the unit will come
back looking brand new (fully restored, properly painted).

Hello:
Would like some feedback on how others are treating
the anodized aluminum on their Chevelles or ElCaminos.
I am restoring a 1968 SS El Camino and from Canada the people I have talked to either have the
part chromeplated or completelystripped and then polished. The parts

FWIW, there are repros available for all of those pieces and IMO they look fine.
There are also people who restore those moldings professionally, but it is *much* more expensive to go that route. I always recommend Everett Horton at EG Automotive ([EMAIL PROTECTED]).

Thanks Mikey and everyone else for the input.

Randy, Anodized aluminum is not difficult to work with, but
you will have to strip it before it will polish. I use a stripper that is
available at most swap meets and buffing suppliers. It is a powder that you mix
in water and soak the alum. Long pieces I put in pvc pipe and small ones in a
Mike do you protect them from oxidation after you get them polished?

Hi and thanks for the response.
I'm interested in the angle grinder with the buffing wheel, electric or air?
Do you protect the finish after polishing.
Thanks
