I don't know anyone running them on an A-Body. Bilstein and Koni are
comparable with QA1's being maybe a notch below.
Penske's are probably better than any of the above.

The site's not very impressive, but the
downloadable catalog (in pdf) in GREAT.
There is a section for each type of car/truck and
endless options including several different types of compressor brackets to suit
how your engine is setup.

Yeah, it's sounds great. They also had several options for
configuration. Hoses through the firewall or not. Also using
stock vents and controls or using their controls and vents for a non-AC
car or custom set-up. My car came with AC. Although most was
missing, I still have the Astro vents a

The 68 has the same type of metal cover your describing, it is held down
with large hex headed screws around the perimeter and it also has a center
support that if I'm not mistaken has a row of screws as well. When doing the
resto there was some confusion on the type of fasteners and the finish,

moving!
