Mine is a 6 inch rod with KB hypereutectic pistone and
S/R torque big valve heads that were pocket ported. It
snaps when you punch it! This things I learned was to
buy the heads complete other than bare castings and

Looking for tall aluminum valve covers without
writing on the face. Does anyone have a pair to sell.Doesn't need to
be show quality just w/o cracks or dents. My composite VCs are just wore
out.
Also, does anyone have a feel for the valueof

not, do yourself a favor and find one. I think they are made in the fall

Thanks to everyone for the information.
I am sure I will have many more questions as I build this engine. I have
rebuilt hundreds of engines, but the last time I tried to BUILD an engine

many more options!)
Thanks
I have one of those videos.. It was in a 911. Pretty cool. I think I might
even have a second one, but I remember it being a little cheesier in some

Hi,
The number one thing key to compression is quench hieght being around .040.
so the block has to be milled if need be. Flat tops with a small chamber is
much better than big chambers and dooms. My pistons are the KB single groove
hyper flat tops. Second the aluminum allows more compression
Tell me the difference. I'm new at the engine /restoregame. ive been told carters are no good and the holleys are no good. I just want the most bang for my buck!! this motor ive got is at least 375 horse maybemore. the guy that built it works for a motor building co. in Okla. City and
As you mentioned,Gene,a Holley Street Dominator is basically 70's
technology. Edelbrock's Performer RPM and Air Gap dual planes will
outperform a Victor single plane up to around 7,000 rpm. One of these dual
planes would be a very good match for your L98 heads. Just curious but what

Is the Carter electric choke? Any idea of
the CFM?
if it's a 600 electric choke, I'd be interested
in it.
Thank you.
