that sells both new and used parts, specializing in Chevelles and El Caminos
A tubing bender may just give me the few extra inches of play I need to get them to

Tom just an FYI on the intake leak. That is an extremely common place
for leaks if you use the rubber front and rear gaskets. The remedy is
not to use them. Just place a bead of RTV along the front and rear and
bolt the intake down. This technique will also eliminate vacuum leaks
that I have seen
, it will blob inside the block get in the oil pan and
get sucked up in the oil pump... and Oil
Pumps hate rubberized RTV..

on my 1968 i put on parts from a 79 Malibu, pitman arm was different so
on advise from the list I ordered a pitman arm for a 1968 from NPD and
that solved all problems.
I dont know about El'Camino parts but they will probably fit.
