I dont take the boys to the groomers. I work from home and am with
them all the time. Although ideal for some dogs, my chi especially is
so attached to me, when I have to go out, he lays on the kitchen bed
waiting for me to get home. He won't eat and he won't go to anyone
else. I can't even imagine

Always a harness. I would never walk any toy dog

Hi!
I have tried the massage technique with Nubi and it seems to wokr well
for him. I think that Nubi is a little overweight also and this may be
contributing to the problem. We are working on this, but he is
resiliant to change.
I just feel so bad for him, since I have goten him, he has devel
We were just at the vet a about a week and a half ago. I asked about
the cough, and they weren't too concerned. Nubi had his heart worm
test at that time and it was negative.
My Pin has some collaping trachea issues, (although I have never seen
a trace of this condition in him), and I am not sure
Collasped trachea can be genetic. (weak cartilage of the trachea
causes it to collapse.) ~Lacey

That would be my first guess since about 95% of chihuahuas do this.

This isn't quite right. The trachea which is

I've heard that hear problems can cause a cough. Bebe had a constant cough and I was told by her previous owner that was normal because of the short snout. Come to find out she did have a bad heart. (In her case, I don't know if the cough was from her heart or short snout or both). Maybe
Hi Lacey,
Thank you for the information. I think that Nubi may be doing some
reverse sneezing. It seems to encapsulate his symptoms... I will keep
an eye on this though.

Hi DD, I posted this a while back when we were discussing reversed
sneeze and collapsing tracheas. Just thought you might be interested
in it. :)
Here are some links on the two conditions. ~Lacey
