I personally use SecureCRT but your hyperterminal problem is an easy fix.
Download Hyperterminal Private Edition 6.3 from their website. It's free, it
looks almost identical to the Windows version (it just has a few extra
features), its free, and best of all it works great with Windows XP!

Just a curiosity..
What are the most diferences between the normal cisco exams and the
temporary beta ones? Besides the price, are they more difficult? More
questions? I heard that you don4t receive a grade when you finishes any
beta, and so you can only know few weeks ahead is that true?

I am getting ready to take the BSCI test in the beginning of July. But I
don't know what test to take. I have looked at the descriptions and while
they are very different, I'm wondering how different the tests actually are.
is it a difference of testing method or substance? Any thoughts?

After tinkering with every single option in HyperTerminal on Windows XP and
Windows 2000, I have given up on the up arrow. :-) I just use Ctrl-P which
seems to work correctly.
Of course, another option is different software. SecureCRT is great.
I hope someone else has better advice, but to be hon
It's time to do some troubleshooting. Although the 3600 and 2600 routers
aren't considered high-end routers, they nonetheless shouldn't cause a
noticeable delay if they are correctly configured with a simple config. If

I'll try to take a stab at this...
For your network:
Verify that you are not experiencing packet loss on the uplink from your
Procurve switch to the Cisco Router. Make sure you have the speed and
duplex setting hard-coded on each end.
Aside from that, I would look into congestion manageme

Hello,Any Windows expert in this group know how I can use my UP Arrow key

Thanks Scott! So if I didn't understand it wrong, I can just use a regular
CAT5 Ethernet cable (with all 8 pin) to connect the WIC-1DSU-T1 on the
router to that RJ48 hand-off connector from the ISP? Again, thanks!

Hi All,
I got couple 831 routers and deployed VPN tunnel on the network. They work
pretty well for a SOHO, except that they crash when I put the "show ip route
*". This happens to all 831s I have. I upgraded to the latest IOS but
still have the same problem. Anyone know the fix for this? Than
