Had this same problem. Both banks have to have memory in them and it has to
be the same size.
Shared Memory
The slot under the card must have parity.
These things fixed my problem; it turned out I had a bad stick of memory. In
the physical slot.

Thanks.. I also found another problem in the sho config all
The vlans on 1/1 and 1/2 are different. I did not realize it until I tried
to force the channel on and it told me so. I assumed they were the same
looking at the sho po when it said trunk.
