the time of your CCNA or from the time you take/pass your first of the four

Not much I took 605 last Dec and I used the books from 505. Its pretty tough
exam. Read the protocol chpt very thoroughly. Also check out
http://www.troubleshootingnetworks.com which is a great tool from
Priscilla Oppenheimer.

I'm looking for the deinitive answer on who can terminate a session in
IP/IPX/Appletalk networks. I've read on different cisco sources that either
side of a session can initate the disconnect, and I've also seen that the
side making the initial contact is the one who can disconnect. Which one is
Priscilla - I can say that I have used it and I will tonight before going to
bed. It's a very good test, as I'm taking the Support test tomorrow

I agree from my experience CIT is the hardest with Routing 2nd, Remote 3rd
and Swtiching last. I missed passing the CIT by 6 measly points. I'm taking
it next month again, congrats and keep on going!! Any advice on CIT please

That is the way I used to do it at the ISP I used to work at...before the
layoffs...We had two 6509's linked together in a full-mesh and used a cfg
similar to what you have. If there is another way. I'd be interested in
finding out about it.

Well I just got back from taking the test and failed by six points!! What a
bummer, now its time to regroup and study some more and re-take the exam in
a month. The questions were very different from what I expected, ie very
vague as to what they were asking. Oh well, know Appletalk - that's what
I would buy both, it helps to have different sources. I have the cisco press
books and the exam cram series of books. I'm taking the test this weekend,

only 1 sup eng (don't ask me why there was no redundancy - big mistake)that
were going into a PIX 510. The cfg is below, and what the standby group info
looked like. That was before they shut down and gave us good net guys

Thanks to everyone for your input, I heard it wasn't that bad compared to
the other 3. If you know the material from those it shouldn't be that bad.
Plus I have some SNA experience from way back in 89' - wow dating myself. I
hope to read/study/do home labs and pass by mid July.

I'd like to ask those that have passed the BCRAN was there a lot of ??'s on

As for VLSM, I found an example in Jeff Doyle (TCP/IP Vol 1) on
p290 that I don't understand.

I have a question regarding EtherChannel. Is there an alternative to
EtherChannel that will give aggregation speeds that can be implemented on
6509's. The reason I can't use EtherChannel is that our corp policy forbids
VLAN's so hence no EtherChannel.

not that bad. I read the Cisco prep BCMSN book and the Exam Cram (very good
book) BCMSN along with 3Boson practice exams and thats about it along with
access at work to a 1900/2900/5500/6509. Good luck

I have a question that is bugging me. I have a couple of 6509's that we have
for customers. One customer wanted me to clear the arp cache so that a
server would wake up. It worked but it also removed all ARP entries, is
there a way to remove a single entry?
I'm still kinda puzzled why this fixed
