I'm guessing that the distinction is historical. If I remember correctly,
the original
lower ended switches were developed at Kalpana and were menu driven. The
higher ended
switches were developed at Crescendo and used a set based CLI. Cisco
acquired both
companies and proceeded to rename both
Just use clock rate on the interface w/ dce ('show
controllers' if you're not sure).
Dce-terminal-timing is for high-speed/long distance, no? You
don't have that w/ routers back-to-back.

I was wondering how to apply subinterfaces. I have 1 ether port on my router (1600) and need 2 links to the switch. One for public IP and the other for private IP.
I type in int e0.1, then ip add x.x.x.x mask but I get this instead,

image space you'll need to do the squeeze:slot#
Just deleting the file will not recover the flash image space. FYI, the
flash has 15 (I think)levels of undelete if you need it back
