Overviews on T1 and E1 (other comms info such as ISDN, ADSL etc) can be obtained from any reputable test equipment manufacturers website. Check out www.ttc.com or www.hp.com and look for technical white papers or overviews on technology. Keith ""rayza manesh"" [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote in

Be yourself and dont try and bull the interviewer if you don't know an answer. Get there 10 minutes early, be smart and polite etc. etc. I posted my CV on www.dice.com and landed a job in New York inside 21 days (I currently work in London). I didn't take it due to contractual restrictions I

CBT sdhould be used as an additional tool to aid study. You really cant beat the classroom environment but a good book can deliver much needed information better than a CBT (you can highlight sections of a book, and all of the CBT's I have used do not have an INDEX). I used the CBT systems

Further to my original post... It is possible to get collisions on a Full Duplex segment. Transmission from the switch towards the destination is a shared bandwidth domain (with other originating hosts transmitting towards the same destination). As such collisions may occur on the transmit

Re: CSMA/CD : full duplex

Actually CSMA/CD is still required. When communicating through a switch, the TX (towards the switch) is guaranteed the full bandwidth towards the switch. However the inbound (RX from the switch) may be carrying traffic from more than one originating host. As such, collisions may still occur if
