hi friends I am in deep trouble yesterday i downloaded 12.0 IOS into my 2610 router from my TFTP server. downloading was successful. in fact i deleted old version while upgrading. after that my router is not booting at all. what to do? please help me. bye ravee _

First check to see if your IOS image to upload is valid. i.e. Checksum and Filesize are correct as per cisco's website Your 2610 should be still able to boot to the Rom Monitor. e.g. rommon 4 > You can use the tftpdnld command from the ROM Monitor to tftp from your P.C. rommon 5 > tftpdnld

you might have deleted the new ios. In general, during IOS upgrade router show us some message like 'erase current flsah ios'(not precise) before starting ios-uploading.. After 'successful'message' imediately did the router getting bootup sequence? is there some confirm message to confirm the r

If your router is not booting, send a signal from the console port while it's attempting to boot and this will take you to ROMMON mode. From there you can attempt to load the IOS onto it again. Make sure you really have the correct IOS. I did something similar, except in reverse: I tried t

The break signal is dependent on the software you are using. For instance, if you are using Procomm, it is Alt + B, so that might be another one to try. I haven't had any experience with other terminal software recently, so I can't think of anything else there. Also, try hitting those key co
