Hello group !
I would like to configure a router to connect to 2 sites with ISDN. The
router's configuration should be able to accept 2 incoming calls
simultaneously from the sites on a single BRI.
Is it possible to assign a channel B to 2 different destinations at the same

I may be experiencing a brain cloud at the moment, but why would you
expect to see an arp entry for the BRI interface? ARP is used to map an
IP address to a hardware address on a multiaccess network. BRI is point

Hello Jenny
BRI leased line is also available in the UK with channel aggregation to
128kbps, but only if you use a provider other than BT.

Ok what country are you in ?
The fact the lights are not even coming on suggests you have the wrong
switch type setting.

You can't ignore the dialer map statement, you need it for legacy DDR.
That's what binds the remote IP address to a phone number.

Hey Phil,
Here it is:
Cheers--

Layer 2 Status:

This is true alright Charles,
but it isnt a must that the dialer map statement is used. you can also
use the dialer string statement.it all depends on wether you are using
the ppp authentication chap command.
This is not where my problem lies.
Thanx for your effort anyway. cheers!

Unfortunately, I mistakenly deleted your posting of the sh isdn stat. But I
noticed that layer 1 is up which shows you are connecting to your ISDN

Not unless it's 56 KBPS ISDN on a BRI. Modems can't work--completely
different electrically.

Hi all,
you know what these messages mean??
13w4d: ISDN BR3/1: Incoming call id =3D 0x1DDE
13w4d: ISDN BR3/1: received HOST_INCOMING_CALL call_id 0x1DDE
13w4d: ISDN BR3/1: Incoming call rejected due to screening.
13w4d: ISDN BR3/1: received HOST_DISCONNECT_ACK call_id 0x1DDE
Javier,
Looks like you have got CLI screening configured. Command will be something
like "ISDN CALLER 0172233"
If calling number does not match this or if they are not revealing their
number it won't let them in.

This question has been asked before so you can search the archives for a

say so when you did a show int or show int bri 0... and if it didn't it
would just say bri interface.. it might also depend on the router

Hi,
Why use the BRI ports to do your configs.
You might find that using a dialer interface for each area will work better. Also do
you want all of the interfaces to come up at the same time? You only have one dialer
list statement so this would stick em all into the same dialer group. You
