I am trying to hook up two 3104's back to back but when I try to put in clock
64000 I get the error msg. "Not allowed on DTE interface". When in fact the
sh
controller command shows that it is a dce cable attached. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.

works better than using clockrate.
Let us know how you make out. I have 5 of these routers & have upgraded
probably 25 or 30 of them.

3104's & 3204's operate both DCE & DTE. 3102's & 3202 only operate as DTE.
Most all V2 interfaces have DCE available.
