I passed the Switching 2.0(BCMSN). It was not very hard. If you read two
books or one book twice, you will pass the exam. and don't bother BOSON.
Boson is overkill for the exam. Have a firm understanding on foundational
concepts.
You don't have to dig deep to pass this exam.

Thanks to the group for their input. I am learning a lot from just reading

There was a few surprises on the exam:

The following topics occured in the test:
~10% product specific (not very detailed)
~10% multicasting (igmp, cgmp and addressing)
- layer model (access-distribution-core)
- VLAN, EtherChannel
- VTP
- MLS, ACL-impact on MLS operation
- Trunking
- STP

Hi Group,
I just came from the switching exam and I passed with 866. Thanks to all
of you who gave previous feedback on the exam and to the whole group for
making this happen. The exam was a tricky one. Lot of analysis needed to
answer. even though I studied the exam cram book, I would suggest to
Hi,
I just want to drop an email, saying that I passed Switching 2.0 exam today,
I scored 879/1000.
I attended BCMSN course, so I study the training guide and also study the
"Cisco Lan Switching" book by Kennedy Clark & Kevin Hamilton.

My heavens, what a horrible test. It felt like there was virtually nothing
on MLS and multicast, but they were very interested in my choices for
switches in different scenarios, what hardware could do what and what
lights blinked when as a router powered up or was connected to a switch.

Congratulations Doug. I've just passed Switching as well and in the early
stages of the exam also really thought I was going to fail but eventually
passed with 93%.
My test was close to the exam outline - questions on pretty much
every area although there seemed to be a lot on trunking and MLS.
Remote Access asks what interfaces the specific models
of 1600s have and about 700s quite a bit more than it
should have and on the troubleshooting test there were
