Sorry I am late to post on this.
AGS+ is going to be alot more inexpensive than a 2522/2523.
However, personally, I would go with a 4500M, which is a *very* fast
router for lab use, and later on can support fastethernet and atm modules
as well.

I've just gotten one of these wonderful (and loud) AGS+'s from a seller on
Ebay. When I received my shipment I had the router only, no manuals, no
cables, etc.
I have had no luck finding what kind of console cable this router uses as
I've already tried the standard Cisco flat console cable.
