For BGP, the winner is Halabi. For multicast, the winner is Beau
Williamson. For IPv6, I just discovered a great book by an author who I
have admired for over ten years, which is Implementing IPv6 by Mark Miller.

Vol I or II? [7:24269]
In my opinion, Vol. 1 is a must-have book. You should run--not walk--
to your nearest bookstore and buy it. I've flipped through Vol. 2 and
didn't feel compelled to buy it. I've heard that it is an okay book,
but the material is perhaps covered better
Thanks everybody for the advice! I have just ordered Doyle vol1, Halabi's
IRA, and Caslow's Router, Switches and Bridges. I won't get it till next
week, darn it! What do you guys think of Caslow's book?

Depends on what you want to lea
That is the differance, vol2 has BGP and multicast, some IPV6 and
NAT. Stuff that's not really in vol1 so It depends what you want to
learn. If your really interested in BGP then don't get vol1 or vol2 but
Internet Routing Architectures VolII :)
